Home Energy Makeover

Last year, United Power built a new state-of-the-art facility incorporating the energy efficient technologies that we promote to our members. Now we're demonstrating the energy savings of using these technologies in your home through our Home Energy Makeover Demonstration project.

After reviewing nearly 500 applications, two homes were selected to receive energy-saving upgrades through our Home Energy Makeover. The homes were chosen based on the potential for United Power to make the greatest impact on energy savings with selected energy efficiency upgrades.

An all-electric home located in our mountain district and a home in our plains territory with a fossil fuel furnace will each receive numerous upgrades that will help the homeowners save energy. Read more about the energy upgrades being made in each home and follow the progress as we post more information about the energy savings.
