Earn $30 next year with Cycled Air

November 07, 2011

United Power members with central air conditioning can help United Power manage energy use and put a little bit of extra money in their pocket each year for their participation.

When you sign up for Cycled Air, United Power will install a device outside of your home near your central air conditioner. The device will allow United Power to cycle your A/C compressor on and off at short intervals and only on peak energy demand days. While your compressor is briefly cycled on and off, the fan inside your home will continue to circulate cooled air. Most members on the program don't notice when their compressor is cycling.

Cycled Air helps United Power manage peak demand, which results in savings for all of United Power's members. For your help, United Power passes on the extra savings to Cycled Air participants as a $30 bill credit at the end of the summer cooling season.
