Electric Water Heaters

Your water heater is the second largest energy user in your home, so it should be as energy efficient as possible. If you are building a new home, or replacing an old water heater, consider an electric water heater for your hot water needs.

Electric water heaters are more flexible than other water heating appliances. They require no minimum clearance so they can be placed anywhere, including under a remote sink or in a closet. They require no fuel line or exhaust flue and there is no pilot light to worry about. Operating costs of electric water heaters are also competitive with other types of water heaters.

United Power does not promote a specific brand, but gives a larger rebate on Marathon Water Heaters because they come with a lifetime warranty. United Power's Energy Experts can help you purchase a Marathon Water Heater. To purchase any other brand of electric water heater, please consult with a licensed contractor (plumber or electrician).
