All credits must be requested within 180 days of installation. An inspection report signed by a United Power Energy Management Expert is required in order to qualify for rebate programs. Customers are encouraged to contact a United Power Energy Management Expert prior to purchasing and installing any new equipment, so you can be assured of meeting all the requirements of the program.

Heat Pump - Rebate

Members with qualifying heat pump installations will receive both rebates.

Electric Water Heaters - Rebate

Minimum water heater size: 2.5 kW. Water heater must have R-16 manufacturer insulation or equivalent. Applies to both new or replacement units. Plastic or stone-lined with a lifetime warranty. Water heaters qualify for multiple rebates.

Qualify for up to four of the following rebates:  
Tri-State rebate per electric water heater $50
Water heaters utilizing a time clock or Time-of-Day control panel. $25
Lifetime or GCHP Desuperheater. $25
Electric to electric replacement. $20
   
You may also qualify for one of the following rebates:  
Units 30 gallons or larger installed in new homes or conversions from fossil fuel units. $200
Units 30 gallons or larger with a lifetime warranty installed in new homes or conversions from fossil fuel units. $500

Solar Electric Installations - Rebate

Solar electric installations intended to provide electricity to a home through the use of solar photovoltaic panels. The State of Colorado, through the Governor’s Energy Office, will match this rebate.

$2,000 Maximum from United Power
$2,000 Maximum from the State of Colorado Governor's Energy Office
$4,000 TOTAL Possible Rebate

Rebates available on a first-come first-served basis and funds are limited.

Solar Domestic Hot Water Installations - Rebate

Solar thermal installations intended to provide hot water to a home. The State of Colorado, through the Governor’s Energy Office, will match this rebate.

$1,500 Maximum from United Power
$1,500 Maximum from the State of Colorado Governor's Energy Office
$3,000 TOTAL Possible Rebate

Rebates available on a first-come first-served basis and funds are limited.

Electric Motors - Rebate

To qualify for a rebate, you must notify United Power prior to installing a new or replacing a large motor.

Applies to the installation of a new or used motor, from 10 hp to 200 hp, which is to operate at a minimum of 15% annual load factor or for a minimum of three months each year. Motors less than 10 hp may qualify if the aggregate for a single unit which requires all motors to operate is at least 10 hp. Payments for motors larger than 200 hp may be negotiated.
