Rebate Program

United Power members qualify for rebates from United Power and our wholesale power supplier, Tri-State Generation & Transmission. Members will receive both rebates on the following energy efficient equipment and appliances. All credits must be requested within 180 days of installation. An inspection report signed by a United Power Energy Management Expert is required in order to qualify for rebate programs. Customers are encouraged to contact a United Power Energy Management Expert prior to purchasing and installing any new equipment, so you can be assured of meeting all the requirements of the program.

Qualifying Equipment

Statewide Rebate Program

The Governor's Energy Office (GEO) will launch a statewide rebate program on select energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies on April 19, 2010. United Power members are highly encouraged to apply for both rebates. Please note that the United Power and GEO rebate programs require separate applications and the GEO rebates are not retroactive. Heat Pump - Rebate

Please check with United Power's Energy Management team for details on SEER rating requirements before making any purchases.

*For applications where more than 10 units are installed in one facility,
the incentive is negotiable and budgetary constraints may apply.

Electric Water Heaters - Rebate

• Minimum tank size is 40 gallons.
• Minimum size of all units is 2.5 kW.
• Must have R-16 manufacturer insulation or equivalent.
• Applies to both new or replacement units.
• Must meet minimum DOE energy factors.
• Plastic or stone lined lifetime product.

• Must be hard-wired, permanently installed and controlled.
• Minimum size is 1kW.

Electric Motors - Rebate

• Motors must be new at installation.
• Moved or rewound motors do not qualify.
• Must meet Tri-State NEMA high-efficiency requirements.
• Motors 501+ HP are negotiable.

Payments for motors larger than 200 hp may be negotiated.

Energy Star® Appliances - Rebate

*To receive the Recycling Credit, proof of retailer haul-away of old refrigerator or receipt from reputable appliance recycler is required.
