Sunday May 20: Crews Responding to Outage in Fort Lupton

5:45 p.m.: Power fully restored to all members. Members without power should report their status by calling 303-637-1350. We sincerely appreciate the patience of our members who experienced a long interruption in service today.


5:00 p.m.: A small group of members south of Kahill St. in Fort Lupton are still without power. Additional linemen are working the outage and are assisting with the transformer replacement. In addition, the crew is working to rebuild a riser and restring line serving this area.The line this crew is working on must remain de-energized to ensure the safety of the crews working as quickly as is possible. Other members in the area may experience a brief outage while crews bring the system back to normal status.

We understand lengthy outages are inconvenient and appreciate your patience while our crews continue to work in the area.


12:40 p.m.: Power has been restored to the large majority of members. Crews were able to isolate the outage to those served by the transformer needing repair. Power will be fully restored once repairs can be completed.


11:45 a.m.: United Power crews are on site working to repair a blown transformer that is the cause of an outage to most members in Fort Lupton. Crews have also discovered a few isolated issues causing scattered outages in Fort Lupton. Once the transformer repairs are completed, crews can begin repairs to restore the smaller outages.

10:45 a.m.: Weld County Fire has reported a possible transformer issue near Denver and Kahill St. United Power crews and fire response are on their way to determine the cause. Once crews can safely access equipment, they will begin repairs. Thanks to our members for your patience this morning.


10:30 a.m.: United Power crews are investigating the cause of an outage affecting approximately 600 members in Fort Lupton. The outage began at 10:15 a.m. and the cause is unknown at this time. More information will be made available once crews are able to assess the situation. Members are asked to report their outage by calling 303-637-1350 or through SmartHub.
