Safety Demonstrations

Safety is our first priority at United Power. We provide, at no cost, safety demonstrations to schools and local organizations to raise awareness of the dangers of electricity. Using a variety of different scenarios, our special demonstration teaches the dangers of electricity and how to deal with special situations when electricity is involved.

If your school or organization is interested in an electric safety demonstration, or you would like literature on electric safety, call United Power’s External Affairs Department at 303-659-0551 or e-mail us.

Scholarships

Each year, United Power awards over 10,000 in scholarships to local students. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,000 per student and are awarded based on overall academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and a brief essay. Learn more here.

Youth Trips

High school students in United Power’s service territory can apply to attend two different annual youth leadership trips: The Electric Cooperative Youth Leadership Tour in Washington, D.C. and the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Learn more here.
