United Power crews and contract crews returned to the mountain service territory at 6:30 a.m. this morning to continue inspections and restoration efforts following yesterday’s wind event.
Crews made significant progress yesterday by energizing the backbone that serves the mountain area and restoring power to approximately 1,500 members. Today, United Power lineworkers and additional contract crews are out in the field continuing to inspect distribution lines and equipment throughout the territory to safely restore service to remaining members.
Crews will continue working throughout the day to restore power as conditions allow. High winds and warm, dry weather conditions are expected to continue through the weekend. Members are urged to prepare for weather-related outages possible across the territory. Visit www.unitedpower.com/ready for tips and resources.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our members. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
