Legal Notice of Cancellation of Non-Standard Meter Tariff

On June 24, 2026, United Power Inc.’s elected board of directors approved the cancellation of the Non-Standard Meter (NSM) Tariff, effective Oct. 1, 2026, with necessary meter changes to be made shortly thereafter. In approving the cancellation of this tariff, the board considered the safety of United Power employees who must manually retrieve data for these meters in extreme weather and other hazardous conditions, financial information revealing the NSM Tariff does not sufficiently cover the cost of manual reads and back-office processing for members under the tariff (approximately 61 out of more than 118,000), and the technical infeasibility to maintain this service as United Power invests significant capital into its advanced metering infrastructure and distributed energy resource management system.
