Update 8:25 p.m.

We believe lightning severely damaged United Power equipment during afternoon thunderstorms, resulting in tonight’s extended outage. The cooperative’s operations and engineering teams were activated to assist in restoring power.

Update 6:51 p.m.

Line crews have isolated the outage and restored power to most members affected. Crew are working to restore remaining members who are still without power.

United Power crews are investigating an outage affecting members west of Fort Lupton and south of Dacono. The outage began at 5:10 p.m. and is affecting approximately 1,400 members. Crews are working to locate and identify the cause and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
