Crews are continuing restoration efforts following the windstorm. They are actively making repairs to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
We’re also grateful to Poudre Valley REA for sending crews to assist. Cooperation Among Cooperatives is a powerful principle of the cooperative network, and we appreciate their support.
Thank you for your patience while our crews work to restore power.

Today, United Power crews, assisted by contract utility crews and tree trimming crews, made progress where conditions allowed, but damage across the system is extensive. Due to downed trees and snapped poles, every meter that is out of power requires hours of repairs. These conditions severely slowed restoration efforts.
We estimate that approximately 1,500 members are still without power on Saturday evening. Our lineworkers will continue working until 9 p.m. tonight and then will return to the field tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. to resume repairs to restore service to as many members as possible. We know this means some members are facing a third night without power, and we want to acknowledge how difficult and exhausting that is.
Please help keep everyone safe by calling the right place. There are trees down across the mountain territory. We appreciate reports from our members and want to provide this guidance on when to call 911 and when to call United Power:
📱 Call 911 only for true emergencies, such as fires, immediate danger, or life-threatening situations. A tree in a secondary line, which is usually a single line from the pole to your home, is not an emergency if there is no fire or other immediate danger.
📱 Call United Power at 303-637-1350 to report outages or trees in power lines that are not an immediate emergency.
Calling the right number helps keep first responders available for emergency situations and allows our crews to stay focused on power restoration work.
Your patience and understanding mean a great deal to our crews, who are working long hours under challenging conditions.
